We are currently searching for multiple candidates to be able to work with spinal cord injuries, stroke and people living with a disability with complex mental health issues.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Personal Care: Assistance with showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Transfers: Safe use of hoists and manual handling equipment

  • Community Access: Supporting the client to engage in community activities and social outings

  • Domestic Tasks: Light household duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment

  • Social Support: Building rapport, providing companionship, and supporting mental health and wellbeing

  • Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in skin integrity, health status, or wellbeing to clinical staff

  • Collaboration: Working alongside clinical nurses and other healthcare professionals

Highly Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with spinal cord injuries and physical disabilities and complex mental health issues.

  • Experience with personal care.

  • Calm, patient approach in challenging situations

  • Understanding of pressure injury prevention and skin care protocols

  • Experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities

  • Patient, non-judgemental approach to supporting individuals

  • Dual qualification of your Certificate 3 in Individual Support and Certificate 4 in Mental Health.

 Minimum Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

  • National Police Check

  • Working with Children Check

  • Drivers Licence with reliable vehicle
