About the Role


We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Disability Support Worker to provide tailored support to an NDIS participant based in Kensington, Victoria. The participant uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with mobility and daily activities. You’ll be working one-on-one, building a genuine, trusting relationship and helping the individual achieve their goals at home and in the community. This position is offered over a 7-day roster, with flexibility in shifts.


Key Responsibilities


·         Provide person-centered support in daily living, community access, and personal care

·         Assist with wheelchair transfers, mobility, and equipment use

·         Implement support plans and follow medication/equipment protocols

·         Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment

·         Work collaboratively with family, allied health professionals, and our wider team

·         Maintain accurate, confidential client records via our digital system


About You


·         Previous experience in disability support or a related field is highly regarded

·         Experience supporting individuals who use a wheelchair is an advantage

·         Understanding of psychosocial and physical disabilities

·         Ability to build rapport and communicate clearly

·         Respect for participant choice, privacy, and individuality

·         Cultural compatibility and sensitivity to the participant’s preferences

·         Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR, and valid driver’s licence
